Healing retreats
designed with deep care
in Costa Rica.
A more supported way to work with plant medicine — trauma-informed, intimate, and held by a family who truly cares.
You don't need to explain it perfectly to be welcome here.
When you've been holding too much for too long.
When the mind won't quiet, and the body won't rest.
When old wounds keep shaping today's life.
When loss has moved in and made a home.
When you sense it's time, but don't yet know the shape of next.
When you've lost the thread back to yourself.
Real human care, family warmth, and a nervous system that finally gets to exhale.
Ananda is family-owned. Kim and Jason live here. They cook with you, walk with you, and sit with you through the hard moments. Nothing about this is impersonal.
"We're not running a program. We're holding people — one human at a time."

A slow, supported arc — not a single event.
6+ weeks of preparation: somatic practices, screening, 1:1 calls, and gentle inner work — so you arrive already cared for.
7–10 days at the lodge. Intimate ceremony, daily integration, nature immersion, farm-to-table meals, ocean and jungle.
3 months of post-retreat integration: group calls, 1:1 support, and resources so insight becomes lived change.
Find which retreat is right for you.
Four soft questions. No pressure. We'll point you toward the container that feels most aligned — and you choose what's next.
How would you describe your experience with plant medicine?

The people who'll be beside you.
Kimberly and Jason Ocaña built Ananda Lodge as a home — for their own family, and for the people who come to heal here. Kim leads with somatic and trauma-informed care. Jason brings grounded, gentle presence and tends to every guest like kin.
Together with a small, dedicated team — including Shipibo facilitators, integration guides and chefs — they hold every retreat personally.
Meet the familyStories from those who came home to themselves.
I've been to retreats before. Ananda is different. Kim and Jason held me through the hardest moments of my life with a warmth I didn't know was possible. I felt like family.
The preparation alone changed me. By the time I arrived in Costa Rica I already felt cared for. The integration after kept me supported for months.
Trauma-informed isn't a buzzword here — it's woven into every breath of the experience. Small group, real humans, deep care. It saved something in me.
After 22 years on the force I didn't know if anything could reach me. The Ananda family met me exactly where I was, without judgment, without rushing.

When you're ready, we're here.
A no-pressure 30-minute call with our team. We'll listen first, answer anything, and help you feel into whether Ananda is the right home for your next step.
